Chocolate Energy Shake (dairy free)
There are so many options for shakes/smoothies but here is a nice option for children who don’t like anything that looks remotely like a fruit or vegetable.
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1 1/2 cups of chocolate (or regular) almond milk (unsweetened)
- 1 tbsp molasses (optional – to increase iron content)
- 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes
- 1 tsp ground hempseeds or flax seeds (for adults – 1 tbsp)
- 1 scoop greens + kids (for adults – greens +)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes 3 cups.
Shakes are an excellent way to add additional nutrients, proteins, greens and essential fats into your child’s diet. Enjoy!
