Well we want to help you make about 200 hundred less.
In the first hour of waking, you are already inundated with decisions. Whether to hit snooze on the alarm, what to wear, if you should eat breakfast, what you should cook, if you’re going to make coffee first, and if you’re a parent…well those decisions skyrocket. Of your daily decisions, 226 of them are about food!
What to eat, when to eat, how to cook it. We want to help, by offering you the freedom of less decisions and improved health, with our amazingly simple meal plans.
By the time you have to decide what to eat, especially by mid-afternoon, decision fatigue has probably kicked in. It’s not surprising that this is the time of day when most people ditch their healthy food plan and reach for a chocolate bar. It also explains why take-out is tempting, or why you tend to cook the same three recipes over and over again.
Unfortunately, constantly ordering take-out can lead to increased exposure to toxins, inflammation, weight gain, and can negatively impact your wallet and your health. And if you are a recipe repeater, making the same meals over and over can lead to boredom, and a lack of nutrients which can cause bingeing and cravings!. Having a plan in hand can eliminate those temptations.
You know the saying, have a plan or plan to fail? It’s true. But it’s also easier said then done. A good plan takes time to create. I know. I’ve been there. Working a full-time job, then coming home to face the fridge, the stove and hungry growing kids was my norm. Feeling guilty when I gave my family what was easy, instead of what was healthy. After becoming a nutritionist, I knew things had to change. I spent years perfecting simplified, healthy recipes that my kids would still eat, making menu plans for the week. By following a set plan, I had more energy and time for other things.
How about 4 weeks of freedom? Of not having to think or worry about what groceries to buy, what to cook and what to eat. Of serving meals that are healthy, easy to make, delicious and guilt-free. You’ll even get gluten free desserts! Imagine it being easy to eat healthy and feel better?! Imagine having more energy because you have decreased your decision making fatigue and inflammatory foods?
For December, I’ll include mocktails and healthier treats to try. This is not about deprivation!
