Raw Chocolate Pudding

Fermented food recipe

Raw Chocolate Pudding

You don’t have to feel deprived when you can’t have dairy and/or gluten when you have options like this!  This is a great healthy dessert for kids.

Ingredients:

  • 2 soft bananas
  • 1 soft avocado
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar or raw honey (or sweetner of choice)
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder (carob powder if you are avoiding chocolate)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and blend in a food processor or by using a braun hand mixer.  Add agave nectar to taste.  Refrigerate for one hour.  Enjoy!  Makes 4 servings.  My kids love this!

Health Benefits:

Avocados contain “oleic acid”, a monounsaturated fat that may help lower cholesterol.  Banana’s and avocados contain potassium which is a mineral that helps regulate blood pressure.  Raw Cocoa is an anti-oxidant.  Cocoa also appears to have anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties, is a good source of the minerals magnesium, sulphur, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium, and manganese; plus some of the B Vitamins.

We all love this recipe and have served it to many of our friends. Everyone is always surprised to find out there was avocado in our yummy pudding.
