Super Recovery Smoothie
This smoothie will replenish your energy and nutrient stores following a workout. The tahini and dates make it rich in calcium and iron. If you don’t want the smoothie to be quite as sweet, replace the dates with 1/2 cup berries.
Ingredients:
- 2 small bananas, frozen or fresh
- 1 tbsp raw sesame tahini
- 5 or 6 soft dates
- 2 to 4 Tbsp raw carob powder (or raw cacao powder)
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1-2 cups water
- 1-2 tbsp protein powder (Sun Warrior makes a great tasting vegan protein powder)
Directions:
Blend all ingredients for 1-2 minutes in a Vitamix or blender. Makes 1 large or 2 small servings.
