Summer is fun but we are often left going into the fall months feeling depleted, bloated, tired, and just plain ‘meh’. In the summer, we drink more, bbq more, and stay up late longer to get the full experience summer has to offer, especially in Canada because we have only 8 weeks to do it all!
Even though health is not a seasonal thing, an excellent time to cleanse is in the fall because It’s a natural transition between the hot summer weather and the cold, wet weather of the winter. In this time of transition, people spend more time inside as the evenings become dark earlier, and then energy levels begin to wane.
During this time of transition, the body is accustomed to working through some of its toxic overload from the summer by forcing us to slow down, sleep more, and ingest more warming, soothing foods and beverages. In an effort to support our body’s natural processes, it’s very helpful to undergo a gentle cleanse at this time.
This is not like any other cleanse out there. You will be guided by a nutritionist with a background in nutrition and yoga. We created a FOOD-BASED, immunity building plan to help support. you through this transition. Options will be available to you based on your current level of health and experience. You will get customized support along the way.
The Guided Cleanse and Reset Challenge is a whole foods program but you will be consuming more liquid based meals with so that nutrition can be easily assimilated. You will also be eating mostly warming foods to support your body though the cooler temperatures. You will be eating foods that are in season locally because they are packed with the nutrition you need, just as nature intended. You’ll noticed lots of orange coloured veggies, soups, warm drinks, root veggies and less salads and smoothies.
Supporting supplements will be recommended for best results, but they are optional.
It doesn’t take very long for cleansing to prove its worth. In a span of only three days, digestion can improve, skin can start to clear up, inflammation can begin to decrease, and cravings for foods with high toxic loads can start to go away. That being said, a longer cleanse is going to help with longer-standing issues like blood sugar levels and regulation, liver support, and an increased sense of wellbeing.
